Hi, I’m Danielle
A little about me and my work: I studied graphic design at Salve Regina University in Newport, Rhode Island, and if you talk to any Salve alum, you will realize that we are all a bit obsessed with the the town. Over my 18 year span as a designer, I have worked in a variety of industries including athletics, wine and spirits, residential, & construction. Working in a creative role in different industries allowed me to strengthen and diversify my design skills while developing a clear understanding for the importance of branding. I am a holistic thinker who approaches design challenges with an open mind. There are no wrong ideas. Each thought brings you a step closer to the best solution. Working with tools like color, type and negative space to find the best way to tell your story is not only fun for me, but extremely rewarding. When that last piece of the puzzle fits perfectly - that’s a great feeling.
A little about the name: The name “Three Chestnuts” comes from a town in Sicily called Trecastagni, which translates to Three Chestnuts. It refers to the town’s three patron saints, Alfio, Filadelfio and Cirino, who were known for their unmovable strength - just like chestnut trees. My grandfather would always tell his grandchildren stories about the family to make sure we knew about our history. Naming my business after the town is a tribute to my family and a way for me to always remember where I came from.
